Plough and Stars benefit

[ A message from the Plough and Stars, passed on via Gerry Katz of the BBU ]

Here's a message that was just received from Mae and George at the Plough. I hope you can all come on down this weekend and support the Plough--and have a good time in the bargain. Lots of great music for just $10 admission. If you can't make it in person, you can mail a monetary show of support for this legendary Cambridge institution to George Crowley at 912 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, 02139.

FYI, Larry Flint and the Road Scholars will kick off Sunday's show at 3:00 p.m. , followed by many other acts up until closing.
See you there,

We would like to thank all the people who sent us hundreds of e-mails and also those who showed up at the hearing at the license Commission office. We thank you for taking time out of your jobs and other activities. It's nice to know so many people care about what happens in the City of Cambridge and at The Plough & Stars.

I would also like to mention that because of the ruling by the Commission we have to make some very costly adjustments to the building. In order to do this we are going to have a two-day music extravaganza at the Plough Saturday and Sunday Feb 12 and 13. I know its short notice, but we don't have much time to do the work that they want us to do. The show on Saturday will start at 1:00 pm and go right through until 11:30. Sunday's show will start at 3:00 pm and also finish at 11:30. We will e-mail out a list of bands and musicians who will be performing in the next day or so. We look forward to seeing over the weekend. Thanks again for all your support. Keep the music playing.
